Biography

Dr. Leggio is an Associate Professor (Adjunct) at the Department of Behavioral and Social Sciences, School of Public Health, Brown University. He completed both his M.D. (summa cum laude) and Ph.D. at the Catholic University of Rome (Italy) and his M.Sc. in Alcohol Addiction at the University of Florence (Italy). He completed postdoctoral training in Psychiatry at the Brown University Department of Psychiatry and Human Behavior and Center for Alcohol and Addiction Studies. Between 2010 and 2012, he was Assistant Professor of Behavioral and Social Sciences (Research) and Core and Training Faculty member of the Center for Alcohol and Addiction Studies at Brown University. At present, he is a Clinical Investigator at the NIH Intramural Research Program and Chief of the NIAAA-NIDA (joint) Section on Clinical Psychoneuroendocrinology and Neuropsychopharmacology.
