My research interests are mainly in the fields of biologically inspired computer vision, statistical pattern recognition, and machine learning. The specific problems in which I am interested are knowledge representation, learning, and classification.
I received my B.Sc. in theoretical physics from Belgrade University and a Ph.D. in physics from Brown University. I was a post-doc at the Institute for Brain and Neural Systems (IBNS) and afterwards I was an Assistant Professor of Research at the IBNS. I moved to Washington, DC in 2008 where I currently work with government agencies that fund science.
