Vascular and airway smooth muscle cell physiology, cell biology, and systems biology in relation to atherosclerosis, vasoconstriction, and asthma - are the foci of our research. We presently pursue the following research projects. 1. Nicotine-Induced Vascular Smooth Muscle Invasion. 2. Systems Biology of Hemoglobin-Based Oxygen Carrier (HBOC)-Induced Vasoconstriction. 3. Mechanosensitive Modulation of Cytoskeletal Remodeling in Airway Smooth Muscle. Overview | Research | Grants/Awards | Teaching | Publications
