My research focuses on 19th-century French literature and culture, and gender and sexuality studies. I recently completed a manuscript entitled "Sapphic Fathers: Discourses of Same-Sex Desire from Nineteenth-Century France." I have also written on French poetry and poetics in relation to gender and subjectivity.
