Information for Faculty and AdministratorsThe Office of Corporate and Foundation Relations (CFR) is available to assist and guide faculty and administrators with all levels of the relationship-building process with private foundations and corporations. Through experience, contacts, and context, the CFR role in the process can increase your likelihood of success. CFR is a first point of contact when approaching private foundations and corporations for private funding support. We are aware of the University's pending and funded grants that may be jeopardized by unsolicited proposals. We are also aware of University policies as well as foundation or corporate restrictions on grant submissions. Ensuring that these approaches adhere to College policies, as well as to the submission requirements of funders, we work closely with the Office of Sponsored Projects, the Provost's Office, the Dean of Faculty and the Dean of Medicine and Biological Sciences to coordinate fundraising approaches. CFR fundraising is primarily focused on the academic priorities as defined by the Plan for Academic Enrichment, with an emphasis on multidisciplinary initiatives. For those projects that have been designated as institutional priorities by the President, the Provost, and/or Deans, we can provide a comprehensive set of services. For those not designated, we can provide a limited set of services. These limited services are identified upon request.
