As part of Brown's Division of Advancement, the Office of Corporate and Foundation Relations (CFR) manages fundraising efforts and relationships with private foundations* and corporations. Our office works closely with faculty members, senior professional administrators, and leadership to identify, cultivate, solicit, and steward private corporations and foundations in support of Brown's academic initiatives, research programs, and institutional priorities. We collaborate with alumni, parents, and friends to introduce new corporations and foundations to Brown. To learn more about collaborating with our team, please contact us. *Private professional foundations are typically run by paid staff under the direction of a non-donor-family board and have defined program areas. Examples of professional foundations include the Carnegie Corporation of New York and W.M. Keck Foundation. A corporate foundation is a private foundation whose assets are derived primarily from the contributions of a for-profit business. Examples of corporate foundations include Citigroup Foundation and Cisco Systems Foundation. Information for Brown faculty and administrators Information for corporations and foundations
