The Associate Vice President for Research Administration is responsible for ensuring that the research infrastructure is robust and responsive to the needs of Brown University investigators and their research partners. Regina oversees all aspects of research administration and compliance at the University, serving as the advocate for faculty throughout the grant seeking and oversight process, and also assists the Vice President for Research and the University in developing, implementing, and monitoring policies and procedures that govern the conduct of research at Brown.

The Director of Research Initiatives facilitates and advances innovation across campus by (1.) working with academic units, centers, programs and institutes to develop new interdisciplinary partnerships, (2.) providing local, national and global networking events to convene innovators and investors, and (3.) connecting researchers to industry experts to explore ideas, collaborations and new models of funding.

The Director of Administration is responsible for financial reporting and operations for the OVPR and manages both internal and external communications for the department. The Director, in collaboration with the Proposal Coordinator, also manages internal research funding opportunities including the Research Seed Funding program, the Richard B. Salomon Faculty Research Awards and the Departmental Research funding for the Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences.

The Research Compliance Coordinator assists the Associate Vice President for Research Administration in managing conflict-of-interest processes and developing outreach and training in research administration and compliance for faculty and staff. The Proposal Coordinator assists faculty in many aspects of proposal writing, including providing information on management and evaluation plans, diversity statistics, and broader impact statements, as well as editing completed grant proposals. Anne can also assist faculty on making connections throughout the university for collaborative proposals.
