Dr. Pareta works with Prof. Webster group, whose lab specializes in design, synthesis and evaluation of nanophase materials for various biomedical applications.

Dr. Rajesh A. Pareta is a post-doctoral associate at Brown. He has been working in bio-medical field since his undergraduate, where he worked on bio-ceramics (HA, 45S5, A-W Bioglass) for drug delivery applications. He continued working on drug delivery applications in his doctoral thesis where he deviced novel double layer microspheres using co-axial electrohydrodynamic processing.

He is presently on various projects:
1) 3-Dimensional scaffolds resembling native tissue organization,
2) Cell encapsulation,
3) Nanocrystalline diamond contaings over Titanium for better Orthopedics,
4) Polymer-Carbon nanotube composites for vascular applications, and
5) Hydroxyapatite coated magnetic nanoparticles for osteoporosis.

In addition he works with various graduate students and advice and assist them with their projects.
