Outside of teaching and administrative duties at Brown, I have spent a good deal of time over the past eight years participating in science outreach activities in the local community. More recently I have become interested in pursuing this in a more formal way through the support of funding. I am currently collaborating with members of the Brown community and local professionals to bring innovative science instruction into local high schools, starting with those in Providence.
