Upstate Biotechnology develops innovative cell signaling products, technology platforms and services to accelerate life science research and drug discovery efforts. Upstate is a supplier of research reagents discovered at Brown for the purification and preparation of protein phosphatases (developed by former Professor David Brautigan). Upstate also has a license agreement with Brown for a for the RKIP amino acid sequence which emerged from the laboratories of Professor John Sedivy.
