IAM Technology, Inc. is a leader in Internet security and Domain Assurance. IAM has licensed technology developed in Brown’s Center for Geometric Computing, by Roberto Tamassia PhD, its director, and Michael Goodrich PhD, co-inventor and associate. Brown University retains an equity stake in IAM Technology Inc. IAM Technology addresses a $50 billion problem of domain integrity on the Internet, most commonly known by its tags: spam, spim, phishing and pharming. The company’s research activities are conducted at the Center for Geometric Computing under the direction of Tamassia, Goodrich, and research principals Danfeng Yao and David Ellis (both Brown students). The Brown technology, known as the Secure Transaction Management System (STMS) forms the basis of a rapid, lightweight validation of identity assertions on the Internet; and, provides the basis for present and future IAM products. This rapid, distributed and secure infrastructure leverages years of basic research supported by DARPA, the National Science Foundation and IAM. STMS is a unique and tested environment, and provides the advanced and scalable platform to establish IAM as the leader in Layer 7 Identity Assurance. IAM Technology is based in Lexington, Massachusetts with research offices in Providence, Rhode Island. Additional information is available at www.iamtech.com. |
