Analytical Edge, co-founded by Arthur and Jeffrey Blume in 2006, is developing cutting edge statistical methodology for the design, conduct and analysis of clinical trials.  Their platform is based on a sophisticated statistical approach to measuring and interpreting the strength of evidence in data. The approach, Pure Likelihood©, is more accurate, more flexible and more efficient than what is available today. As a result, it can easily accommodate midcourse modifications to trial designs and it often results in a reduction of sample size. These attributes bring about faster, cheaper and more accurate clinical trials in which continuous monitoring of accumulating data and exploration of additional endpoints are encouraged. 

Arthur Blume, Ph.D., has more than 35 years of experience in biotechnology and pharmaceutical research and development.  Jeffrey Blume, Ph.D., is an Assistant Professor in the Center for Statistical Sciences at Brown University and has extensive experience in the development, operation, analysis and methodological aspects of clinical trials and is a leading academic expert on likelihood methods for measuring statistical evidence.
